Tesla Model S Plaid: specifications & features
Musk believes that the performance and range offered by the Tesla Model S Plaid is good enough. To reiterate, the Model S Plaid's tri motors have a top speed of 1,006 hp and propel the car to 0-100 km / h in 1.99 seconds. According to CEO Elon Musk, the Model S Plaid "comes with the right tires with a top speed of 200 mph (321 km / h).

In fact, the company is confident that the Model S Plaid is "the fastest production car ever made by any means," however, the recently launched Rimac Nevera Hypercar, which has a 0-100kmph time of 1.85 seconds, has set quite the standard.

The Model S Plaid features new battery technology for improved range and efficiency. The exact technical details are yet to be confirmed, but Tesla says the new thermal architecture offers faster charging and greater power and endurance under all conditions.

The interiors have also been revamped and you can immediately notice the new steering wheel design that looks exactly like the model used on the planes. Tesla calls it a trunk-free steering yoke because there are no indicator stems.

Other changes include a brand new 17-inch widescreen display that provides exceptional responsiveness and can tilt left to right to give passengers or drivers access as needed. In addition, there is an 8.0-inch infotainment screen for those in the back seat.

Completing the list of changes is a software update, updating the infotainment system with a processing power of 10 teraflops. That's the equivalent of modern-day gaming consoles.

For those who take their music seriously, Tesla is offering a 22-speaker, 960W audio system as standard on the Model S Plaid.
