Land Rover Defender dimensions and design
In terms of design, the new generation  Land Rover Defender has evolved from its former useful roots and now has a sophisticated appeal. The front defender has plenty of nodes, including its upright posture, small front and rear overhangs and class-off wheel arches. The new Defender's squarish headlight and taillight systems also recall the original. Additionally, there is a square panel behind the C-pillar where the buyer can specify a lockable storage box. The Roof roof-mounted antenna has a rear view camera that transmits the feed to the ClearSite's interior rear-view mirror - a neat trick. Another unique touch is the alpine light windows in the C-pillar's upper roof, which gives passengers a better view of the outside scenery.

Land Rover Defender interior and features.

Inside, the new Land Rover Defender gets a flat-top dashboard, taking the center stage of a 10-inch touchscreen. The high-resolution touchscreen is slick in its operation and receives JLR's latest PV Pro infotainment system. Land Rover has decided to mount the panel on the dashboard with gearlever, AC controls and off-road settings, leaving plenty of space in the center for storage. In fact, Defenders in India can be selected with a central jump jump seat seat front as seen in early Land-Rovers. The Defender comes with grain leather and woven textile seats and rubber mats that are easy to wash if they get dirty on the road. The quality of the materials and the fit-and-finish of the cabin is top notch.

Land Rover Defender engine and gearbox
Land Rover Defender in India is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine from JLR's engine family. Maximum power and torque are rated at 300hp and 400Nm respectively, which is enough to propel the Defender 110 from 0-100kph to 0-100kph in 8.1 seconds. The 8-speed automatic gearbox and air suspension are standard on the 110.
